Aggie Intramural Sports

Until the 1920s, intramural sports at Texas A&M were referred to as intrabattalion games. Pictured here is the sweater of Intramural Manger, Lee Culver. There were two high level student positions in intramural sports, it seems likely that Culver held one of these positions. This picture showcases a sweater exclusive to management, and one believed to been worn by Culver. Along with holding a leadership position, Culver was a member in the Corp of Cadets Company B-1 and later Company H-2. This clothing piece serves as a physical representation of his achievements in the program. Intramural sports provide opportunities to students who are not part of athletics programs to be active and play sports at an accessible level. The program allows all students to continue with or begin a new journey with athletics at the college level.
