Aggie Muster: A Century Old Tradition

Aggie Muster is a sacred time where the spirit of Aggies past, present and future are remembered. Every year on April 21st Aggie students both locally and internationally gather to remember their fellow Aggies who have passed within the previous year. While hundreds of other places worldwide take part in this ritual, Texas A&M College Station campus remains the largest.

In 1946, the Aggie Muster welcomed the current General and later President Eisenhower as a guest speaker. This ceremony recognized the 800 Aggies that perished during the first and second world wars. The event included a speech from General Eisenhower, Aggie Muster, a Sunday Easter service, and the presentation of 30 honorary degrees to those holding the rank of a General in the U.S. armed forces.
